Dishes With DEMDACO: Game Night Edition

Posted Jan 8th 2025

Hosting a game night party or just really love football food? Either way – welcome to all things sports party entertaining and hosting. (Don’t worry, it’s really easy!)

Big game night parties have become a little intimidating: making a snack that’s shaped like a football field … umm love it, so clever, but “do I have to?” No, you don’t! The only thing you “have” to have at a sports party is:

  1. Sports (duh)
  2. Food
  3. Drinks
  4. Spirit

Let’s be honest: the people coming to your party are going to be paying attention to one thing – the game! (The food is a close second.) So, making sure you have a sure-fire way to watch the game, with all our modern streaming devices and such, is of the utmost importance … obviously.

Food is so much fun at game night parties! Lots of delicious, tasty treats we can’t help but munch on. Here are a few football party food recipes we always whip up when hosting the big day!

Bacon Wrapped Jalapeño Poppers

Honey BBQ Crockpot Meatballs

Cowboy Caviar

Warm Crack Chicken Dip

Drinks are easy because most of the time while kicking back to watch the game people only crave a good, old-fashioned beer. Just have a variety of brands available for everyone's preferences. We also love to make sure we include 1) something for gluten free guests and 2) something from a local brewery!

The 'spirit' part of these parties just comes with the excitement and enjoyment of a fun tradition. You really don't even have to worry about this part. Food, drinks and opening your comfy home will welcome your loved ones in and allow them to relax and let the spirit burst!

Oh, and one final thing: don't forget to take lots of pictures. Memories are wonderful to look back on. And toss a few extra throw blankets out just in case.

Happy hosting! (Send us an invite *wink wink*!)
